Novena to Saint Michael the Archangel, September 21 through September 29.
The Litany of Loreto is used to honor Mary, the Mother of God. The Litany recalls Mary’s unique role in our salvation history as the mother of our Savior and invokes various titles for her as a way of honoring her and reminding us of the role she has played.
A partial indulgence is granted to those who recite this prayer. A plenary indulgence is granted if it is publicly recited on the feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. This prayer was prescribed to be recited on this feast by Pope Pius XI .
